SHEV Chair Company
Case Studies

At SHEV, we pride ourselves on solving real challenges.

We work closely with customers to solve seating, manufacturing, design, and specification challenges that standard catalog solutions sometimes cannot address. These case studies show how partnership, craftsmanship, and engineering come together to deliver results.

Banquet / Ballroom Seating

A designer requested a taller back on SHEV's HC-06 Carlo chair for the Wakonda Club in Des Moines. A fast prototype answered the design question — and uncovered a harder one: the chair needed to stack 10 high. SHEV re-engineered the frame geometry and produced a 1,000-chair order from a single modification request.

Carlo-C — From One Custom Chair to 1,000
Hotel Guestroom Lounge Seating

Caesars Atlantic City needed 1,000 guestroom lounge chairs that matched the existing design but eliminated the structural weaknesses of wood frames — impact nicks, loose fasteners, heavy handling. SHEV re-engineered the chair around a fully welded aluminum frame with a wood-grain finish, delivering the same look with zero exposed fasteners and a 12-year warranty.

Jayelle — A Familiar Silhouette, Rebuilt
Café / Counter Seating

A warm bentwood cafe seating family — dining chair, low-back stool, and bar stool — built to a designer's rendering, then re-engineered in the field when an under-counter lip with outlets appeared the day before opening. SHEV mobilized on one day's notice, modified the stools on site at no charge, and protected the customer's grand opening.
